Fishermans Getaway in Clayton & St. Lawrence River

The property did not appear as it did in the photos. Some negatives: Broken couch and ottoman, dirty rugs, septic and dumpster smell outside (that traveled inside), and a very dangerous driveway to pull out of with extremely fast oncoming traffic and a hill & cliff that’s impossible to see over or around to exit the driveway. Plus, the top part of the driveway is washing away, leaving a deep ditch to drive over. Try not to damage your car on this ravine. Some positives: the owners would answer relatively quickly and the bedrooms were clean. The owners also offered to refund our money due to the conditions we found the house in, but it was too late to find alternative arrangements for our large family.

It worked for my family vacation, bedrooms are small, seemed to be an issue with ants... Nice living room area and 2 nice decks off the back.

Perfect house for large (10) vacationers. Close to clayton and alexandria bay. Great location for day travel to state parks.

1st time renting this listing. Host and house were great. Place was roomy and suited all our needs.

Convenient location for a group of 6 fishermen. Everyone had their own room and the kitchen area/dining room was perfect for evening dinners. TV room upstairs was perfect for gathering post-dinner. Big driveway with plenty of boat parking. Backing in off the road is best accomplished with someone to assist as it is a main road. Perfect for our needs, we'll be back next year.
